Notes on Happiness is a book project by artist Alex Farrar. The book is a long reflective text, based on conversations that Farrar had with people around him about happiness. The book design is a collaboration between Farrar and graphic designer Chantal Hendriksen. The book is a limited-edition publication bound with several different covers, cut from one single drawing by Daniel Jacoby. This book was developed during a residency at SEA Foundation, Tilburg —supported by gemeente Tilburg and Mondriaan Fund — where Alex Farrar worked in response to their Art and Sustainability research project and the specific theme of ‘happiness’. About: Alex Farrar, born in Leeds in 1986, lives and works as an artist in Amsterdam. Daniel Jacoby, born in Lima in 1985, is an artist and filmmaker, living and working in Amsterdam. studioHendriksen is an Amsterdam based graphic design studio founded by Chantal Hendriksen. David Price, born in Glasgow in 1982, is an artist, writer and editor living and working in Stockholm.
